Short Term Rates

The only short term accommodation available during 2010 will be during the World Cup Soccer Tournament. The House is fully booked for UKZN for the rest of the year.

Acommodation retaes during the World Cup will be:

R 200/person/night Bed & Breakfast, in single rooms equipped with washhand basin with hot & cold water; there are communal bathrooms on each floor.

SITUATION

Anchor House is situated in St Andrews Street across the road from the tree-filled Albert Park. Most rooms overlook the harbour towards the Bluff ridge. The residence is within a few minutes walk of the CBD and there are inexpensive bus rides to the beach and uShaka Marine World virtually from our doorstep. Anchor House is close to the city�s transport hub to and from anywhere!

A RESIDENCE WITH A CHRISTIAN HEART

At the heart of Anchor House are committed Christian staff and resident assistants who live on each floor with the intention of caring for the communities well being. We welcome people from all persuasions and hope that many will find a home with us. Residents are welcome to attend the regular Christian Fellowship meetings that happen and share with us, our anchor in life, Jesus Christ.

ROOMS AVAILABLE

110 beds are available as single or double rooms.
Each room has its own washbasin, study desk and basic furnishing
Linen is provided, but guests are invited to make their rooms as comfortable as possible with keepsakes from home.

SERVICES

Meals :	Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates. Lunch is provided at weekends and on South African public holidays.
Linen :	A set of linen is provided and changed weekly
Cleaning :	this takes place regularly.
Reception :	the reception desk is open between 7.30am and 8.30pm each day.
Telephones :	Phone calls are taken and relayed to floors. Public phones are available in the building.
Newspapers :	Two local daily newspapers are available for the residents to read.

FACILITIES

Include a Recreation Hall, Pool Table, TV with Mnet, Chapel, Study rooms, Gym with basic gym facilities, Laundries with washing machines and lock up parking in the backyard.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Informal activities organized by residents include sports, music, outings and special meals. Formal activities are organized for residents and the community at large. The YMCA Regional Office is based at Anchor House. Durban YMCA�.Building Character Shaping our Future
